How AI Works
AI Transparency & Explainability Statement
We believe you have the right to understand how AI shapes your experience on this Platform. This page explains, in plain language, how each AI-powered feature works, what data it uses, and what it cannot do.
ATS Score — How It Is Calculated
- →Keywords are extracted from the job description using semantic NLP analysis.
- →Your CV text is compared against those keywords for coverage and relevance.
- →Additional signals: years of experience, title alignment, skills overlap.
- →Result: a 0–100 match score. Higher scores indicate closer alignment with the job requirements.
- →This is a recommendation tool — scores do not guarantee interview invitations.
Deep Analysis (7 Blocks)
- →Runs seven parallel analyses: keyword fit, experience narrative, skill gap, company culture, salary benchmark, interview cheat sheet, and STAR story suggestions.
- →Each block uses GPT-4o-mini to generate structured, job-specific insights.
- →Results are specific to the combination of your CV + the target job description.
- →AI output is advisory. Always critically review before acting on recommendations.
Interview Simulator
- →Questions are generated based on the job description you provide.
- →Your spoken answers are transcribed using OpenAI Whisper (audio processed server-side, not stored beyond the session).
- →The AI evaluates structure (STAR method), relevance, and keyword coverage.
- →Session transcripts are stored only while your account is active.
Salary Analysis
- →Salary ranges are estimated from publicly available job postings and market data scraped via JobSpy.
- →Figures reflect recent market data and are segmented by role, location, and experience level.
- →These are market estimates — actual offers vary by company, negotiation, and individual factors.
- →Data is refreshed periodically; ranges shown are approximate at time of analysis.
Video Analysis (Optional Feature)
- →Video analysis is currently DISABLED during the beta.
- →If activated in the future, sampled video frames would be analyzed by our AI provider (OpenAI GPT-4o Vision) and deleted immediately after analysis.
- →The feature will only be activated with your separate, explicit opt-in consent (GDPR Art. 9.2.a) — we will update this page and the Privacy Policy first.
- →Only numerical scores (e.g., "eye contact ratio: 85%") would be stored in your session record — never the video itself.
Your Rights Over AI Decisions
- →Under GDPR Art. 22 and FTC Act §5, you have the right to object to automated decisions.
- →No AI output on this Platform is a binding decision — all results are informational.
- →You can request human review or explanation of any AI-generated output by emailing privacy@careeraiarchitect.com.
- →You may withdraw consent for AI processing at any time via Settings → Privacy.
Third-party AI provider: OpenAI processes text you submit for analysis. Your name and email are not included in prompts. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. See OpenAI API Data Usage Policy.
